I was a board member and Treasurer back in the late 90's.

SWO warrior from 1987-1995.

  • First tour, USS Belleau Wood (LHA-3) as boilers officer, main engines officer, CMS ustodian and repair division officer. Attended the decommissioning ceremony in 2005. The mighty Belleau Wood was sunk the following year during RIMPAC.
  • Second tour Amphibious Squadron 5 as Assistant Ops. Was part of the initial landing force in Mogadishu, Somalia during Operation Restore Hope. Was in-country for 3 months setting up logistics and offloading relief ships.
  • Third tour was an instructor at the International Surface Warfare Officer School in Coronado, CA.
  • I picked up an MBA Finance from National University in 1994 while I was at shore duty. Resigned my commission in 1995 and sold my soul to corporate America.

1996-2005 NationsBank/Bank of America. I specialized in commercial real estate (construction lending, REIT lending and large loan CMBS).

2005-Present Wachovia/Wells Fargo Securities. I am currently a Managing Director in in the Commercial Mortgage Loan Finance group which provides financing in the form of a repurchase obligation. In a nutshell, my group provides financing to other commercial mortgage lenders (Mortgage REITS, insurance companies, investment banks, opportunity funds, etc). I head up underwriting, loan funding/operations, and credit risk for my group and manage a $17 Billion book of business.

I've lived in Charlotte for the past 21 years. I have a beautiful wife who I've been married to for over 23 years, and two beautiful daughters, ages 16 and 12.
